Dr.Vikas Prabhav MD (Psy) is the primary consultant at the vivid mind clinic. After completing his MBBS in 2010, his career began in the emergency room, managing critically ill and injured patients. After brief stints in medical record auditing and drug safety reporting, he began training in psychiatry in 2013 at Sri Ramachandra Medical College. He received the award for best outgoing student in MD psychiatry from SRMC chennai in 2016. He strives to fight stigma and break sterotypes about mental illness and behavioural problems. His primary priority is to provide clients with a comfortable, private and effective solution to their mental health needs. The vivid mind clinic functions in  Anna Nagar, Chennai.

My father, and the inspiration behind thevividmind. He came from humble beginnings and held on to his humility till the end. His students and friends refer to him as a great teacher and was known for his unbounding knowledge and clinical skill. Though he ceases to exist in the physical world, he remains a great inspiration to a vast number of people. 




Psychiatry is a medical speciality, like surgery, general medicine and paediatrics. It involves the study, diagnosis and management of mental illnesses and distressing conditons, pertaining to both the mind and body. Misconceptions about psychiatric illness and treatment have some how prevented help seeking behaviour in those who need it the most. This Wall has to go, wherin visiting a psychiatrist should no longer be taboo, and people should be able to openly and freely discuss mental health issues. More here.
